1Frau Almond ist Professorin für Ethik und Sozialphilosophie an der Universität Hull und Direktorin des 'Social Values Research Centre'. Sie ist Mitherausgeberin der 'Zeitschrift für Angewandte Philosophie' (Journal of Applied Philosophy) seit deren Erscheinen und gehört zum Vorstand der Gesellschaft für Angewandte Philosophie.
